The October 2009 News Update features an overview of the
services we offer our members, a report on our attendance at the
Criminal Justice Management Conference on 1 October, where we posed
a crucial question relating to our discussion paper on local
accountability and the reform of the probation performance
framework to Helen Edwards, Director General of Criminal Justice,
Ministry of Justice, a reminder of a computer systems conference we
are organising in partnership with the ministry and other
